Ever since winning the fourth season of Deutschland Sucht den Superstar, Germany's version of Pop Idol, Mark Medlock has been setting the European charts ablaze. Born on July 1978 to an African-American father and German mother, Medlock was raised in Frankfurt and showed promise as a singer even as a young boy.
