Madonna once again sets the standard for mainstream pop. This time she pours her heart out on to the dance floor with her own special brand of Parisian electro-pop. Style-wise the album is punctuated heavily with electronic loops and beats. "
Impressive Instant" is an incredible sonic whirlwind, and "
Runaway Lover" is heading straight for the dance floor. On other tracks, like "
I Deserve It" and "Nobody's Perfect," Madonna gets quietly introspective and soul searching. This makes for a nice balance with the dance tunes. Through it all, Madonna retains her title as music's number one trendsetter.
